Frank Ritter, graduated Syracuse University where his photographs were first published in the Daily Orange, the campus newspaper. Frank was influenced by many instructors at the Newhouse School of Communications, the School of Visual Arts, and New York University.
Twenty-five years experience has gained Frank Ritter, a large and prestigious clientele. Awards include the Merit Award from Studio Magazine, Hexter Award, and the Creativity Certificate of Distinction from Art Direction Magazine. Many of Frank's photographs appear in leading national design magazines such as Architectural Digest, Interior Design, Elle Decor, Vogue, Art in America, and the New York Times Magazine. His photography for the Helmsley Organization was the subject of an American Photographer Magazine article.
Recent projects have led Frank Ritter, to photograph the architecture of Thailand and the cities of Brussels, Amsterdam, Bilbao (Spain), and Havana (Cuba). A long-term project has been photographing churches and synagogues of the world, which began during a trip to Romania almost twenty years ago. Some of Frank's projects have appeared on the covers of the Designer Magazine. As a native of Dutchess County, New York, Frank Ritter, has long been interested in the architecture and arts projects along the Hudson River, and has been involved in documenting the architecture of the area.
